HISTORY
Hailing from Atlanta, GA — a city known for its creativity and culture — Tay Hawes has spent the last 16 years producing some of the most memorable music videos, promos, commercials, and live performances in entertainment.
From an early age, Tay was immersed in the performing arts and television, graduating from a performing arts high school before attending Morris Brown College. As a member of the school’s renowned Marching Wolverine Band, he and his fellow musicians were tapped by 20th Century Fox to appear in the 2002 film Drumline, an experience that sparked his passion for filmmaking.

Determined to pursue his craft, Tay relocated to Los Angeles to study at Columbia College Hollywood, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film. His networking and relentless drive quickly led him from production assistant roles on major sets to advancing through the ranks as truck PA, office PA, coordinator, production manager, and ultimately producer. Along the way, his attention to detail and creative instincts caught the eyes of industry veterans, solidifying his reputation as one of Hollywood’s most sought-after producers.
Today, Tay’s portfolio includes projects for global icons and brands such as Cardi B, Kanye West, Odell Beckham Jr., Disney, Nike, and the GRAMMYs. Beyond client work, he is the founder of Hawes Media Group, a full-service production company where he continues to produce a wide range of content and manages rising actress Lauren “Lolo” Spencer.
